Listening and understanding is often very difficult for language learners. Maybe your listening in the classroom is fine but having conversations and watching tv can be more difficult.
The easiest way to improve your listening outside the classroom is by … watching TV!
BUT it’s very important that you watch series which are interesting to you, you shouldn’t feel like you are studying.

Why are the Everest teachers learning Arabic?
To raise money for Syrian education projects
Like most people, we wanted to help with the crisis in Syria and to help those worst affected by the conflict. We were thinking of running marathons, packing bags or going out onto the street to raise money, but then decided we should do something a little different. “More than Words” is a language learning marathon. 5 teachers from Everest Language School are challenging themselves to learn as much Arabic as possible between now and July. Pygmalion is one of my favourite Pubs in the city. It’s the perfect place to have a drink or maybe two or three, after all that highly effective studying you’ve done in Everest. It’s close to Stephen’s Green and Grafton Street. You can also sit outside underneath heating lamps. Have a look and let me know if you like
