You will be given a contemporary social topic which you must respond to in a number of ways.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Examples of IELTS task 2 question types:<\/h4>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discuss the advantages and disadvantages<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/everestlanguageschool.com\/ielts-writing-task-2\/\">Discuss both sides<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Give a reason why you think the problem exists<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Express your views about the issue<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Say whether you agree or disagree<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decide which side of the argument you support <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As always, first make sure to read the question carefully to identify every part. (If you do not address each part you will not get a good mark in this\u00a0task.)<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Example IELTS task 2 question:<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>In general, people do not talk to one another when using public transport. Why is this so, and what could be done to change this situation?<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next you should make a plan about what you will write and how you will arrange it. For example &#8211; \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Identify a number of reasons <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">decide which will be primary and which will be supporting ideas<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">think about a number of possible solutions <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;
