These classes are exclusively focused on exam skills and are perfect if you don’t have enough time to do an intensive course.
Our English teaching methodology:
Our syllabus has been developed by our Director of Studies Dr.Anne-Marie Connolly in collaboration with our teaching staff and in line with CEFR. The syllabus incorporates some of the best language learning books and resources available. There is a big focus on communication in all aspects of the curriculum. When you are learning grammar and vocabulary you will quickly and frequently have opportunities to practice this English in communicative tasks, games and activities.
In our full-time English courses, you will have at least two classes every day with two different teachers. This will expose you to different teaching styles and different accents. There will be a grammar and vocabulary focus topic every week and by the end of each week you will have used various skill to practise this vocabulary and grammar. Every Friday you will have a short test in class to make sure you have understood everything. If there are any difficulties the teacher will then do some revision. To finish the week, you will join with another class and take part in a collaborative task, the famous “Friday Challenge”. In the Friday challenge, you will do a fun activity which incorporates the English that you have learned that week.

Research at Everest Language School:
We are really looking forward to meeting you. Our Director of Studies has already written a PhD thesis about you! She has spent the last 4 years studying adults who learn a new language in their adult life. She has been working with Trinity College Dublin and has discovered some really interesting things that happen in your brain when you learn English or any foreign language.
In the coming years, Everest will be continuing to work with Trinity students who are studying the advantages of learning new languages and being bilingual. Our students will have the opportunity to meet and speak to these researchers as well as taking part in their research.
During her research, Anne-Marie has also been developing Everest’s unique syllabus. Unlike other schools, our syllabus is not focused on one single coursebook. Instead, it is based around communication and functional use of English. Students are put into real world situations and work collaboratively to use the English grammar and vocabulary that their teacher has taught them. As Anne-Marie continues her research and we have more visiting researchers, the syllabus of Everest language School will continue to develop. We are always searching for the best and fastest way for you to learn English.
Dublin Social activities:
It is important to us that you learn lots of English inside and outside the classroom. To help you learn English outside the class, we have developed a dynamic programme of social activities. Then during the week you will have interactive tours of museums, galleries and places of cultural and historic interest. These activities are announced in your class each week.
