<p>Sometimes there are <strong>too many</strong> rules to follow in English. Sometimes learning a language can feel like <strong>too much</strong> work, especially when you <strong>don&#8217;t have enough</strong> time. We have put together this infographic to help you understand and remember some of the rules for using <strong>too much, too many and not enough</strong>. If you have any questions please ask us in the comments and if there is anything else you would like us to explain, please ask us below.</p>
<p><a href="https://everestlanguageschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Too-much-too-many-not-enough-1.jpg"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6730" src="https://everestlanguageschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Too-much-too-many-not-enough-1.jpg" alt="Too much too many not enough English Grammar" width="800" height="2253" srcset="https://everestlanguageschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Too-much-too-many-not-enough-1.jpg 800w, https://everestlanguageschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Too-much-too-many-not-enough-1-106x300.jpg 106w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<h1></h1>
<h1>TOO MUCH, TOO MANY and NOT ENOUGH</h1>
<h2></h2>
<h2>TOO MUCH and TOO MANY</h2>
<p>We use TOO MANY + COUNTABLE NOUN</p>
<p>We use TOO MUCH + UNCOUNTABLE NOUN</p>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong>There are too many books in granddad’s house!</p>
<p>The boy has put too much sugar on his grapefruit!</p>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong></p>
<h2>NOT ENOUGH</h2>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong>There is not enough sugar in my coffee</p>
<p>There are not enough chairs</p>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong></p>
<p>SHERPA WISDOM: Notice that ENOUGH goes BEFORE a NOUN</p>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong></p>
<p>TOO</p>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong></p>
<p>We use Too + an ADJECTIVE</p>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong></p>
<p>The boy is too small to ride the rollercoaster = The boy is not tall enough to ride the rollercoaster</p>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong></p>
<p>SHERPA WISDOM: Notice that ENOUGH goes AFTER an adjective</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3>COMMON MISTAKES</h3>
<p><strong><strong> </strong></strong></p>
<p>The coffee is too much hot for me           The coffee is too hot for me</p>
<p>I like Dublin too much            I like Dublin a lot/ I really like Dublin</p>
<p>I am too much happy             I am very happy/ I am really happy</p>
