Dublin’s first school to base its teaching on its own research.

Located in the heart of Dublin city centre, Everest offers the best teaching combined with the most fun and interesting social events.

The school was set up by language teachers with the goal of giving students an unforgettable experience in Dublin.

Our staff are our greatest pride.

All of our teachers hold Bachelor level degrees and CELTA qualifications. Most hold Master’s degrees and some even hold PhDs.

The most noteworthy aspect of our teaching staff, however, is experience. Our teachers have on average 8.5 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language. This is the hallmark that sets teaching at Everest apart, and it is consistently noted by our students in their reviews.

Communicative methodology.

You will spend your time in class improving speaking and listening as well as the key skills you need to pass exams, get into university and get a job.

Multi-sensory classes

Games, movement, colour, music and technology are built into lesson plans so you learn in an alert, enjoyable way.

Real-world scenarios

Job interviews, travel and social situations, so the English you practise is the English you will actually need.

Exam-ready skills

Every general class also builds the skills you need for IELTS, First and Advanced, so you are never starting from zero.

The people who opened the doors.

Rob McComish

Rob’s love for language learning began on a trip to French-speaking Burkina Faso. Since then he has been learning Spanish, French and Polish – and he loves learning languages so much that he is currently learning HTML and CSS.

His career teaching English began at UCD during his master’s in ethnomusicology. After gaining a University of Cambridge teaching qualification he has been teaching non-stop, preparing students for FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS.

As a cyclist he loves Dublin because you can cycle everywhere in 20 minutes. If you want to start a conversation with Rob, just mention Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Dr Anne-Marie Connolly

Anne-Marie has been studying languages, culture, psychology and the effects of language learning on the human brain for the last 10 years.

Her PhD focuses on the cognitive benefits of bilingualism and adult language learning. She has used electroencephalography (EEG) to study electrical activity in the brains of bilinguals, multilinguals and language learners from all over the world – while teaching them English at the same time.

She wants to help you find the most efficient way to learn English. She does yoga in her spare time to relax after studying.

Someone at reception speaks your language.

Our Student Support Team are here to help you from the very start of your course to the end and beyond. Before you even arrive they are available by email and phone to answer your questions.

They can advise you on which course to take, where you can stay, and help you through the process of applying for your study visa. Then they are at reception every day to help with the big and small challenges of moving to a new country.

The part we can’t write ourselves.

We can tell you all about our school, but the truest perspective comes straight from our students.
