Cookie policy

Which cookies this website uses, what each one is for, and how to switch them off.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. It lets the site remember something from one page to the next: that you closed the chat window, for example, or which language you chose.

Your choice

The first time you visit, a banner asks which cookies you accept. The cookies the site needs in order to work are always on. Statistics and marketing cookies from Google are only set if you accept them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, here or with the “Manage consent” button at the bottom left of every page.

The cookies this site uses

They come from the tools the school uses to answer you and to understand how the site is used.

Cookie consent

The banner is provided by Complianz. It remembers the choice you made, so that you are not asked again on every page.

HubSpot: forms, chat and visit statistics

HubSpot is the customer management system the school uses. It provides the forms and the chat window on this site, and it records which pages are visited.

Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads

Google Tag Manager loads the school’s Google tags. If you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages are read. If you accept marketing cookies, Google Ads measures whether an advert led to an enquiry and can show you the school’s adverts on other websites. Until you accept, Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all, so none of these tags run.

YouTube and Spotify

The video on Student Reviews comes from YouTube and some Podcast pages have a Spotify player. Both set cookies of their own when they load, so they stay switched off until you accept marketing cookies.

Google Translate: the language selector

If you choose a language other than English, the text of the page is sent to Google Translate to be translated. Your choice of language is kept in your browser (local storage, not a cookie) so that the next page opens in the same language.

WordPress

WordPress, which this site runs on, sets cookies only when a member of staff signs in.

How to switch cookies off

Use the button under “Your choice” above for the Google cookies. Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. If you block the HubSpot cookies the site still works and you can still send a form; the chat window will not remember earlier conversations.
