Creating safety and facilitating creativity.

"The most valuable aspect of this training was the space that the facilitators created for the participants in order for them to exist in safety and creativity."
Katerina Giannoula
Course overview

Trauma-informed Language Teaching is a specialised course designed to help educators meet the emotional and cultural needs of today’s diverse student populations. The course recognises that many students experience trauma or stress that can hinder learning—challenges often overlooked in traditional education models.

This course, developed in Everest Language School in partnership with Amaka (Athens) and ICP (Prague), combines trauma-informed teaching practices with cultural responsiveness, mindfulness techniques, and creative expression through art therapy. Educators will gain practical strategies to foster safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments where all students can thrive. With a strong emphasis on educator well-being, the course also provides tools to help teachers care for themselves while caring for others
